On 20th April 2023, the town of Coral Bay will experience 99.6% totality of the eagerly anticipated Total Solar Eclipse that will see astronomy enthusiasts from the world over arriving here! Coral Bay Ecotours is offering a very limited number of special eclipse tours on this day to allow you to experience the best of the Ningaloo whilst also witnessing this memorable event.

Solar Eclipse & Manta Rays

Join us on this full day tour packed with opportunity to swim with the awe-inspiring manta ray, in what has become almost a daily event in Coral Bay on the Ningaloo Reef, the only location on the planet this occurs. Why not embrace this opportunity to go snorkelling in Coral Bay with the largest winged species that inhabit the oceans?

 

​Our Ultimate Wildlife Experience - an amazing day on board our state-of-the-art eco tour vessel, Kurni-Ku, with its large upper deck viewing area makes it perfect for observing the tropical reef and once in a lifetime opportunity to witness an incredibly rare solar eclipse.

Your tour begins at 8 am at the Coral Bay Ecotours office (unless otherwise informed), followed by a short bus transfer to the jetty to board the vessel. Then we head out for your first reef snorkel experience in Bills Bay, where you can expect to encounter numerous fish, reef sharks, and other marine species and the beautiful coral gardens. After morning tea you will visit the sea turtle sanctuary where you can observe turtles feeding and surfacing for air. We then head to Bateman’s Bay to observe the Solar Eclipse and after that with the assistance of a spotter plane, there is the opportunity to snorkel with Manta Rays. On the return home, we stop for an afternoon snorkel.

We Provide: Snorkelling gear, wetsuits, morning and afternoon tea, buffet lunch, fresh water, snacks & fruit platters, underwater photo package, toilet facility and eclipse glasses.

Due to government regulations for this very special event entry to Coral Bay will be accessible only with proof of accommodation in Coral Bay.

A basic swimming ability is required to join this tour as an interaction swimmer. This tour is recommended for confident swimmers.

3 Hour Coral view and Snorkeling

Glass Bottom Boat & Solar Eclipse

Join us on this 3 hour tour on the glass bottom boat to experience the Ningaloo Reef and to witness the Solar Eclipse. This tour gives you the opportunity for coral viewing, fish feeding and snorkelling
at two specially selected sites and most importantly once in a life time opportunity to observe 99% Solar Eclipse
