The main duties of the Coxswain role will be running tours on our twin outboard 11m Glass Bottom Boat within a marine sanctuary, and full day reef exploration on our twin outboard 12m Manta Ray tour vessel and standard periodic maintenance and upkeep works on the vessels. Work hours are approximately 6-9 hrs/day (variable). 

 

This skipper role may also involve some days as deckhand on our Master 5 vessel for Whale Shark and Humpback Whale tours, as well as some days working as an in-water guide/crew member across all vessels and tours. 

 

​The successful applicants will ideally have at least 2-3 years’ experience in varying ocean conditions, including at least one as skipper/master, with previous tourism experience preferred.

 

​To be successful in this role, you will be friendly, conscientious, a good communicator, have sound organisational skills, and be able to work both independently and in a team environment to ensure a smooth operation of daily tours with guests of varying ages and abilities, in varying weather conditions. Sound mechanical boat knowledge (or willingness to learn this), strong vessel handling skills, and excellent interpersonal relation skills are essential.
